The Snow Series was born out of inspiration from a simple photo in a newpaper.  It was an early spring day, wet and damp outside.  Recently there had been a snow storm in Atlanta and they put a picture of a man jogging through the park in the wet snow.  Something about that photo triggered an entire on going series of paintings.  When I close my eyes I can see endless images of this icy world, many stemming from my childhood in Wisconsin.

This is the first painting in this series.  Painted in an impressionist style it helped me to find a way to express my feelings about this cold and snowy world.   -Sold
"A snowy afternoon in the park"

The Second in this series.  I wanted to show just an average day in the park.  People going about there business with a wet snow starting to cover the ground. It's one of those cold slushy days in very early spring. -Sold
"Untitled"

In this piece I was inspired to push the boundries of the colors I had been using.  More developing blues helped to reinforce the cold feelings I was looking for. 36"x22" on masonite board.  Available please email.
"Ice and Embers"

I wanted to show an intimate moment.  This couple in my mind comes to this special place in the woods.  It's a place where they can be alone and skate together.  They have been coming here for years and is part of what their love is built on.
