Welcome to the Green Gallery, a collection of my work from the last few years.  This gallery is filled with an eclectic arrangement of paintings.  As I experiment and dream of new things to paint, it sometimes becomes  a series and other times just a single painting.   Most of the paintings shown here are available.  Please email me with any questions or comments you may have.

"Summer on Willow Bay"

48"x24"  Oil on Canvas.  This painting is were I dream of going to relax.  Much of the inspiration for this painting comes from visits to my fathers home in Florence, Wisconsin.  There are many lakes all connected together and there is a new scene around every bend.  When I look at this painting it makes me want to grab my fishing pole and head out on that old pier.  This painting is available -please email

"Autumn Leaves"

16"x20" Oil on Canvas.  This past fall I went out to High Cliff Park on one of the last nice days of the year.  The fall color was at it's most bright and the views were spectacular.  Prints available.

"The Sheboygan Marsh"
20"x16" Oil on Canvas  The cloud line in this painting was actually created before I even knew what I was going to paint below.  On a trip back from Sheboygan, I stopped at the Marsh to take a quick picture and found it to be the perfect setting.  This painting is available - please email
"July"
36"x18" Oil on Canvas.  A simple title for a simple painting.  I love painting clouds and I decided one day to paint just that, and nothing else.  I look forward to painting more of these relaxing works in the future.  This painting is available - please email
"Autumn Leaves at High Cliff"

"Exinguished" The Joseph Medill Fireboat by Daniel W Green
"Extinguished"  The Joseph Medill Fireboat

While up in Escanaba, MI this past fall I came across this boat up on shore.  Never knowing anything about it, I found it very exciting to learn about it's story and how it got there.  Currently the tired beauty rests in this field along lake Michigan home to many of the local pigeons.
30" x40" oil on canvas.     Available-please email
"I don't think they are sleeping", is what most people say when viewing this piece.

This painting brings about many opinions ranging from excitement to disgust.  Seven Sleeping Ducks is a showing of life and death and how we let our emotions dictate our opinions of it.  Life is beautiful and it is cruel.  When people view this painting it is different for everyone, but it always seems to bring about emotions.  I created this work using a limited range of color to emphasize particular feelings.  The meaning in Seven Sleeping Ducks is meant to be like life, hated and adored, denied and accepted.

Seven Sleeping Ducks
Bel Air

This old beauty sits up in northwest Wisconsin on a farm nestled in the trees.  A great reminder of how things were created in the past this old Chevrolet sits here telling her story to all that venture into the brush.  The day I visited the beloved family dog, Cokie came along for the adventure.

30"x 40" oil on linen  - Available please email
See the art in person!  My work is hanging right now at Studio 213 in downtown Appleton, WI, and at The Arts of Daycholah in Greenlake, WI.
"Reclaimation"

The second painting of the old Bel Air.  When I took photographs of this car I found the moss and fungus had formed very colorful patterns over the body's surface.  It begged to be painted.
