Artist's
Statement
I was Born and raised in Sheboygan and currently live in Hilbert, Wisconsin.  I am a self taught artist and have been painting for about 4 years.  It started as just an interest and quickly grew into a daily passion.  I learned through books and a lot of hours practicing.  I am still learning and hope to keep improving overtime.

I paint primarily in Oil on Canvas, Linen and Masonite board.  I work to achieve realism in my paintings and also enjoy working in a very thick impressionist style like in the snow series.

My work is currently telling a story about the lives of our Grandparents.  I am drawn to life in the early to mid 20th century and love photography from this time.  Being and Antique dealer and collector it also helps by allowing me to obtain items and photographs from that time period, not only for reference, but for inspiration. A personal object can tell you a lot about the person who owned it and how they lived. I strive to have people remember and learn about what life was like in many Wisconsin cities in the last century and how the people who lived in that time, deserve to be remembered.  As I continue to paint I hope that many of you will join me in learning about our families past and what they went through in their daily lives.  I look at my own art as a celebration of the past.
